Downfalls to things like Google, Facebook, and Wikipedia.

I personally think that the social media networks are affecting the way people interact with one another.  Instead of talking to one another in person we text which  by the way takes much longer than an conversation.  Facebook which is a great tool to keep in touch with people has turned into being friends with people you have never meet and most likely will never meet.  I find most posts quit annoying and I really don't need to know everyones every move.  What scares me the most is the information exchange, I have seen young girls putting up their phone number and that they are home alone.  What the biggest problem I see is that everything that is on the internet even though a good source is not always correct.  Wikipedia is a prime source that is not always correct.  We have moved away from books, personal interaction and reading newspapers all because of technology.

  1. Texting does take way longer and you can't really get a sense of how the person is expressing themselves. Sometimes with texting and other messaging you can miscommunicate what you are trying to say with all caps or something. this new technology is definately changing the way people communicate and interact with each other.
